PWM Charge Controllers
A PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) charge controller is a device used in solar power systems and is situated between the solar panel array and the battery bank in a solar electric system. It regulates the voltage and current produced by the solar panel(s) in order to protect the battery(ies) by controlling the charge they receive. This prevents overcharging, which can extend their lifespan.
