BACK UP EMERGENCY ELECTRIC SYSTEMS (BES)

For Homes and Offices with Utility Power:
MrSolar Backup systems can be a valuable addition to any home or office. These system will provide instant backup power in the event your utility grid fails.

Standalone or Off-Grid Applications:
These system will also work without the utility company. Just add a battery charging source like wind, solar, hydro, or even a generator.

Add Alternative Energy, Grid Interactive,  Sell power back to the Utility.
All of these systems are compatible with alternative energy. If you are connected to the utility grid these system give you the ability to sell power back to the utility company. If your utility fails you will have the batteries to provide you with backup power and an alternative energy charging source to help keep the batteries charged.

Which system is right for you?

1. Identify the critical loads in your home or office. Make a list. Avoid any types of resistive heating such as electric space heaters and electric stoves. Look at the diagram at the top of this page, the Sub-Electric Panel gives examples of critical loads.

2. Next to each item on your list write down the wattage that item will use. All appliances have labels telling you their wattage.

3. Total these wattages. This assumes that if everything is turned on at the same time the backup system will have to supply this much power.

4. Select your system based on this wattage. We suggest that you leave yourself some growing room, 20% is best. For example, only load a 4000 watt system to 3200 watts.
